Aric Snee has worked with glass in studio, academic, and factory environments, creating a dialogue between fine art and industrial design. He graduated from Salisbury University in 2000 after spending a year and a half studying abroad at the Canberra School of Art in Australia. Upon returning to the U.S., he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he worked for several well-known glass artists while also exhibiting his own work.
Snee spent four years as a Gaffer at Steuben Glass in Corning, New York. In 2008, he was an Artist in Residence at the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, where he began integrating fine art and design with his traditional factory training and techniques. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from Alfred University in New York.
In 2014, Snee joined the Danish glass company Holmegaard as a designer, leading to the launch of two product lines. After teaching glass at Alfred University and Ball State University, he returned to Salisbury University in 2018 as a faculty member. He is currently an assistant professor and the head of the glass department.
